Hello from Stage it to Move!

Can you believe that Father’s Day is just around the corner and that certainly means summer is here. Remember when the kids are thinking for something for Dad, this year make sure it is not just another tool to clutter up the Garage or another beer mug. Maybe an activity for the family is in order. Are your kids driving you crazy with the countdown on the number of days that are left of school… our’s certainly are!!!! They would surely love to have that family activity.. mini putt, movie night or how about the Water Park!

It was sure nice to hear back from some of you who started working on that oh so important curb appeal of the home. We even received some after pictures of some front porches and back yard pool areas. Great job everyone! Now relax and enjoy if it is your own home, or just sit back and watch those potential buyers realize that this is the Home for them!

So the kids will be home soon and of course looking for extra things to do why not take some time with them and go through their bedrooms and declutter. They are another year older and should be interested to give away/donate their younger toys, books and even clothes. Maybe they can even hold their own little garage sale. Wouldn’t that be fun! Then when the real estate agent shows the house all of those toys won’t have to be kicked under the bed!!

Stage it to Move has seen a few great success stories over the past month or so, be sure to check out our Feature Listings area of the website for new Stagings.

Happy Garage Sale! Just remember what all great organizer’s say… in the house with one new toy…. out of the house with an old one…. I wish we could live by those rules with Shoes! Call us today for your Home Staging Needs.

Stage it to Move Welcomes May

This weekend may have reminded us that it is not yet summer, it is definitely on the colder side of a Cool Spring.  But kids remind us that Spring is here, jumping into that freezing cold pool even though you told them they shouldn’t.

So let’s get outside with our kids and work on the outside curb appeal of the home, your Client’s and your Own.

Add colourful flowers to the garden and inviting furniture to the front porch.   But remember, before you add anything to your deck or porch, create a solid foundation. Cosmetic changes can’t hide a deck in disrepair or dirty, ugly boards…. clean, repair, paint and or stain.

Create a multifunctional space, consider a seating area for relaxing with a book and possibly a place to sit and enjoy that oh so wonderful first cup of coffee in the morning while reading the news.  Don’t forget to add a variety of cheery cushions, the stores have great new colours to offer and if you can’t find the right pattern for your space, turn old dated cushions into new ones with a temporary slip cover.. such as a beach sarong or a t-shirt.  This is a great inexpensive way to improve the look of your furniture…. the added bonus is it also helps to declutter the Closets.

Surely this will invite your guests and potential buyers to sit and realize this home is meant for their family.  Enjoy!

Remember to pass on our monthly newsletter to your Clients, they may benefit from some of the tips that are on our site as well.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Our tip of the day…. is ….. In the Kitchen

Corral all Personal Items to prevent the room from becoming a dumping ground for the family, try this rule: By dinnertime, the Kitchen must be clear of all personal items…. and not just moved to that favorite kitchen drawer to hide until the weekend!  Good luck!!

Have a great Day everyone.

Best Regards,

Cathy & Sandra
